A sweet little house in the country

This rural hideaway has a great location with good views over pretty countryside and has been used by its current owners as a family getaway for many years. It is small and simply arranged, but in good condition and self-contained. It also comes with a good piece of land (8214m2 or 2 acres), which is mostly grassland edged by mature trees, so not labour intensive to maintain. There’s the bonus of an above ground swimming pool.

Description of property

The property is approached by a short private driveway from a quiet lane hidden away in the North Tarn countryside about 20km from the village of Cordes. Alongside the house is a small open-sided outbuilding, big enough to be a garage, workshop or wood store.

Adjacent to the front door is a covered dining terrace with stone columns and a tiled roof. The entrance door leads you from this terrace directly into the living / dining room (4,5 x 4,4m) with a feature meurtrier window with stained glass, and a working fireplace. A door leads off to a lobby with a galley-style modern fitted and equipped kitchen (2,3 x 1,45m) to your left. This has a double bowl stainless steel sink, electric oven, ceramic hob, extractor hood and fitted base and wall storage units with wooden worktops.

To the right is a bedroom (2,8 x 3,5m) with a fully tiled modern shower room opposite (2,1 x 2,3m), this equipped with a basin, shower tray, and the hot water cylinder. There is a separate toilet.

A ladder-style wooden staircase leads up from the living room to a small mezzanine with a door through to a large attic bedroom (5,3 x 4m) with a store cupboard.

This would make a perfect trouble free rural holiday hideaway.
