Aveyron is close to a small town with its weekly market and all shops. It has
been lovingly restored by its current owners. A fine example of medieval
architecture, the oldest part of the castle dates from the Middle Ages with
extensions and renovations in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. The castle
enjoys all modern conveniences after its recent restoration, as well as a
beautiful wooded park of one and a half hectares and a beautiful swimming pool
(16 x 5m) with beach, sheltered by a laurel hedge. There is also a beautiful
guest house and several outbuildings, a stone barn, a stable and a garage.
Description of property
At present the
castle is only inhabited on two floors, but there is a third floor which could
easily be converted to increase the living space. The main entrance to the
castle is via the south tower and a magnificent spiral stone staircase leads to
all floors. On the ground floor there is a charming little vaulted chapel. In
the cellars, an old kitchen with fireplace, the boiler room and three cellars
in all. Upstairs, the living rooms - superb 21m2 entrance hall, dining room,
kitchen and office. All rooms have beautiful original oak floors. You will also
admire the beautiful wooden and marble fireplaces, the views of the park and

project, additional rooms or an independent flat. The guest house, an old
farmhouse built in stone, is situated next to the castle. It is independent
