The former farmer's house, which we call the gîte here, with some work to be done (notably the shower room, woodwork and kitchen on the first floor, and almost complete conversion of the first floor with the beginnings of an existing bedroom), is already full of charm.
The exteriors open onto the surrounding landscape of hills, fields and scattered farms. A very atypical swimming pool was recently built to echo the gentleness of the surroundings. We agree that a classic turquoise-bottomed pool would have looked out of place.
The grounds (3ha in total) follow the contours of the hillside, where our horse friends could find meadows and even a small river below.
