An 18th century building, symbolising part of the history of Rabastens, set in protected parkland. Here it's not so much the living space that we're going to be highlighting (959m2 in total and 28 rooms) but the history that can be read in every nook and cranny, from the mosaics on the ground floor to the high ceilings, the mouldings and staff, the double doors and the beautiful stone staircase. On the ground floor, there is an airlock followed by a large L-shaped hall distributing three lounges, a dining area and, a little further back, the kitchen, boiler room and laundry areas. The flight of steps, in good condition, leads on either side of a generously sized landing to 4 so-called master bedrooms (with shower rooms and WCs), most of which have attractive solid wood floors. There is also another bedroom, 1 shower room and a chapel. On the second floor, 6 master bedrooms (shower rooms and WC), 3 bedrooms and a shower room and WC. And finally the attic. You will also see former "stables" on two levels of approx. 143 m2, an old glass roof in need of restoration (95 m2), and finally the caretaker's cottage nestling at the end of the grounds, also in need of restoration, on two levels of approx. 36 and 31 m2 with a cellar. Most of the electricity has been rewired in the main part. As for the rest, work will need to be carried out on the roof, the boiler is working but will need changing, the joinery and other work.
