The property is reached via a small, well-hidden road that winds its way up to this unique site. To give you an idea of the composition of each of the buildings, imagine a farmhouse facing the Pyrenees, with a semi-circular arched arch separating what must have been the stables and barn above on one side, and the two houses, the farmer's and an adjoining annex occupied by animals and tools on the other. Today, after an enormous amount of work by a talented architect and craftsmen, we'll start by showing you the main house, restored with great attention to comfort and contemporary architecture. In the photos, you'll see a kitchen and, on the other side of the magnificently realized staircase, the dining room and, further on, the open-plan living room. Upstairs, the large parents' bedroom with dressing room and bathroom, and the equally large bedroom where two children can easily sleep. Lots of light and a consummate art of space planning.
The stone arch is incredible, and at the back of the small courtyard that separates the main building from the other two houses, a useful greenhouse.
The second, double-glazed house is more modest, with a living room in the old stable (the manger remains as decoration), a small kitchen to be finished at the rear, and upstairs a large bedroom with shower room. You'll need to add radiators here, depending on use.The third house is double-glazed, even has an individual electric meter, and has been renovated in a rather British spirit: a kitchen opening onto the dining room, toilet and shower room (you'll love the period washbasin, for example). Upstairs, a beautiful open-plan living room with wood-burning stove, a lovely bedroom with direct access to a stone staircase, and finally, on the 2nd floor, a bedroom on the mezzanine and a large dormitory.
The terraces in front of the buildings alone express the spirit of the place, soft and nicely shaded, a source of inspiration for sure. For gardening enthusiasts, there are real "restanques" or terraces enclosed by low walls. For sports enthusiasts, the beautiful swimming pool (14.5 by 4.5, heat pump, salt water, decking and liner changed in 2022, winter cover and bubbles, 2022 pump, ph control). For gourmets: apple and plum trees, quince, fig, walnut and morello cherry. For nature lovers: panoramic views of the forest, hillsides and, sometimes in the distance, the Pyrenees. For horse riders, two fields for our friends the horses.
But perhaps you'll be all of these things at once!
Many assets: beautiful renovation, calm, view, environment, magnificent swimming pool, 3 independent buildings, no work required.
